(252) Sometimes

Sometimes it is hard to get a 2-year-old to stay in bed.

Sometimes it is easy.

Sometimes her 1-year-old sister wakes up and cries and she wakes up and cries because she can't find her beloved binky.

Sometimes she gets out of bed to get help from Mommy and Daddy. Sometimes (ok, most times), they are there with a flashlight and some cuddles.

Sometimes, after the baby is calmed and laid back down and the 2-year-old is drifting back to sleep, she wakes up enough to remember, "Mommy, I give you a hug!?"

Always, Mommy comes back for her hug and always Mommy loves her more than she ever could have imagined.

(And, yes, sometimes the 2-year-old uses this as an excuse to get up 2 or 3 times, but Mommy and Daddy are still suckers for it.)

It's sad that they learn the art of manipulation so young, but I'm a sucker for it too!
