Today in the parking lot at our local grocery store, there was what you might call a zoo set up. I wouldn't really go as far as to call it a zoo; more a bunch of way too small cages filled with cool animals to look at and feed, but that's too big to write so we'll just have to go with zoo.
Anyway, when we heard that there was a tiger and a camel at the grocery store, we knew we had to take Owyn.
Here's the camel:
It was there to give rides and when it wasn't walking in circles, it sat here in the shade.
Inside the "zoo" we found llamas,
lots of little (hungry) goats,
a cow that scared Owyn when it thought she had food and reached its head through the gate toward her (seriously, it scared her so bad she cried!), some ponies and 1 donkey (they were giving rides too).
We could feed all of those animals.
On the other side of the tent were the animals we couldn't feed:
A super sleepy tiger,
a sleepy lemur,
a kangaroo who wasn't interested in looking at us,
2 little capuchin monkeys,
and a playful little white tiger.
We also got our picture taken with a baby tiger. I got to pet it! It was pretty darn cool!
I have to figure out how to scan that one in for all to see.
Anyway, it was a fun little adventure in this little life of ours!
